Nominations now open for Tasmania’s Business Hall of Fame Awards

Release Date: 28/08/2017
The Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry today launched its latest initiative: the Tasmanian Business Hall of Fame Awards. This year’s event will focus on historical achievements; including the long-forgotten stories of businesses and business people that helped shape our state.

Designed to recognise businesses and individuals who have made their mark on Tasmania, ones who inspired, encouraged and pioneered for Tasmania, the Awards will specifically acknowledge the achievements of Tasmanian business.

‘Business is the engine-room of Tasmania, and what better way to honour their contribution than by recognising them with the highest accolade,’ said TCCI CEO Michael Bailey.

‘This year we will focus on historical nominees—highlighting those business and business people who pioneered Tasmania prior to 1900, and in subsequent years the Business Hall of Fame events will recognise contemporary businesses and business people.’

Visit http://www.tcci.com.au/Events/Hall-of-Fame and nominate a business or individual today. Nominations are open to all and close Sunday 17 September 2017.

Make sure that you pencil in Friday October 13 for the gala dinner to announce the first inductees.

Have a think about it; you’ll be surprised how many names you can come up with.
