TCCI urging everyone to Buy Something Tasmanian

Release Date: 6/05/2020
The Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in partnership with Brand Tasmania and the Tasmanian Government, has launched a new tool to support local businesses.
TCCI CEO Michael Bailey said the Buy Something Tasmanian website will help small businesses and their employees during these difficult times.
“There’s no doubt it’s tough at the moment, but with this website we can show Tasmanian small businesses that the community has their back,” Mr Bailey said.
“There’s been a boom in online sales during the lockdown and this website makes it easy to support Tasmanian businesses online.
“Best of all, it’s free for businesses to sign up to the website and list products for sale.  The response so far has been fantastic and we’re urging all Tasmanian businesses to sign up so they don’t miss out on this great opportunity.
“With Mother’s Day this Sunday, I’d encourage everyone to go to and get something nice for Mum, their loved ones or even treat themselves.
“This really is the next best thing to being able to visit a market, a shopping centre or the main street and importantly, every time someone clicks ‘buy’, it will help support a Tasmanian job and a Tasmanian business.
“The TCCI is proud to be working with Brand Tasmania and the Tasmanian Government to do everything possible to support Tasmanian businesses and jobs and this is just one example of the work we’re doing together.”
