TCCI commends State Government on Fuel Price Board Code of Conduct

Release Date: 9/08/2017
The Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry welcomed the tabling of the Code of Practice for Fuel Boards in State Parliament today.
The Code ensures that advertised fuel prices in service stations reflect the actual price available to all motorists, not a price only available through voucher discounts.
“This is a great outcome for Tasmanian motorists,” said TCCI CEO, Michael Bailey.
“We believe that it is important that motorists are able to quickly and accurately determine the cost of their fuel,” added Mr Bailey.
The Code of Practice was developed in consultation with the RACT, TCCI and Minister Guy Barnett.
“Congratulations to the Minister on his focus in ensuring clear pricing communication for the community,” concluded Mr Bailey.
