Now that it is clear that we have a majority government, the TCCI has called on the Federal Government to confirm their funding commitments to Tasmania.
"After nine weeks of uncertainty it is time to get back to business and demonstrate a new approach of leadership and governance for our country," said TCCI chief, Michael Bailey.
The Prime Minister made several key commitments during the campaign. These included the Northern Cities Project, a feasibility study for Cradle Mountain and other infrastructure investments.
"The Northern Cities Project was promised by both the Opposition Leader and the Prime Minister reflecting its importance to the North of Tasmania.
It is time for the Prime Minister to allay growing concerns about the future of the project post-election by confirming to the people of the State that his promises stand," said Mr Bailey.
