Premier Will Hodgman will launch the exciting program to display Tasmanian exporters’ products and services in a custom designed showroom in Shanghai in Hobart next week.
Export Growth China will display products and services from 120 Australian businesses, including 30 from Tasmania in the initial draft. The showroom is in the international zone in Shanghai where an estimated 8000 buyers a day search for new products and services.
The project is an initiative of the NSW Business Chamber on behalf of the Australian Chamber movement and partnered by the Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Exporters also have access to Tasmanian export grants to help offset costs on a dollar for dollar basis.
The Premier will launch the project at a breakfast at the Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania, Sandy Bay, on Friday morning, March 20.
